The TCCC Was Built for You
This program has been developed specifically for the thyroid cancer patient. One of the biggest issues that patients often identify to their care-providers is the overwhelming nature of the information involved in the management of thyroid disease. Patients often feel that they struggle to absorb the extensive details surrounding thyroid cancer treatment and follow-up. The TCCC video library will help to inform patients and their families which will help to relieve stress, help everyone understand the decisions being made by the physicians involved.
Upon registration for the TCCC, you are given access to our exclusive video library, composed of 40 videos, written by national experts in thyroid cancer management. A library of comprehensive and trusted videos with information about thyroid cancer, available treatments, and follow-up care are available on the website. You will have access to this library for as long as you remain a member of the Thyroid Cancer Care Collaborative.
The TCCC improves your care by allowing healthcare professionals to easily share information in one convenient and secure location. This single, unified record helps prevent unnecessary duplication of testing, while ensuring that you receive essential and best possible care.
The TCCC was built for you and we hope we can help provide you with the best possible thyroid care.
The dynamic application of the TCCC securely analyzes your healthcare data in order to facilitate clinical decision making. Based on the guidelines set forth by the American Thyroid Association, the ATA, we have programmed the application to automatically provide you, as well as your physician, with the clinical course suggested by the national guidelines.
Finally, becoming a TCCC member will help facilitate communication between your healthcare team. Should any changes or updates be made to your record, all physicians within your team will be automatically notified. We hope that this will help to reduce the common frustration of communication issues between physicians and reduce the burden on the patient to make certain that both you and your physicians have the most up-to-date clinical information.
